Civic Living opens show homes at Alconbury Weald
- 20.12.2018
Civic Living, a new design and style of homes created by Urban&Civic, is being showcased for the first time at Alconbury Weald. The new houses and apartments sit at the gateway to the development, providing an important connection between the award-winning office buildings at the heart of the Enterprise Campus and the wider residential area. A big part of the Civic Living brand is “Built Around You”, which has driven the contemporary design and features that respond to the way people live their lives: from the open plan flexible living space and outdoor courtyards and first floor terraces, right through to functional but attractive bin and bike stores. There are also a variety of ways homes can be adapted to reflect personal taste within a range of budgets. Civic Living is a new venture for Urban&Civic, borne out of a deep understanding of the aspirations and dynamics at the heart of Alconbury Weald. Nigel Hugill, Chief Executive of Urban&Civic, explained:
“Some areas of the development are so intrinsic to our blueprint for this extraordinary new place that we know we are best placed to deliver the design and layout there. Building homes ourselves allows us to push the architecture and features in modern directions. Modern lifestyles require an evolution of thought and an understanding and reflection of the way we are choosing to live our lives. “Built around you” encapsulates a philosophy that runs through the fundamentals of our whole approach; creating generous community facilities, connections and green spaces, within which new homes are not just constructed but integrate and grow.”
The first release of homes include 2 and 3 bedroom homes and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, with prices starting from £205,000.
The marketing suite and show homes are now open and provide a welcoming and personal approach for potential buyers to explore the product range. Features include a bespoke interactive Hub, which provides customers with a fly or walk through of each street and each house type, with options to try the different kitchen and bathroom finishes and save their own profile as they go through the sales process. The three show homes – with interior design by Jane Clayton – provide a chance for aspiring homeowners to get their tape measures out and sample the lifestyle on offer.
Savills is leading the sales team for the homes and Associate Sales Manager Emily Mayhew said:
“I just love the design and features of these homes, they are different from anything else we have been involved with and the response has been really positive. The great thing about these being Urban&Civic homes is that it brings the whole story together: the café, gym, play parks and school are all part of what is on offer, alongside great design in the homes and apartments: the lifestyle on offer is very much in tune with what modern buyers are looking for.” Visit the marketing suite and show homes between 10am and 5pm, Thursday to Monday or go to www.civicliving.co.uk for more information.
