Alconbury Weald: The natural choice for the Gupta family

From the moment we visited Alconbury Weald we could see our girls having lots of fun growing up here and knew this was where we wanted to buy our first family home. As well as being in the perfect location for us, there is so much green space, and everything is so well maintained and organised.

Helping you on the path to home ownership

There are plenty of other ways you can make Alconbury Weald your home.

Shared Ownership is one option which enables you to buy a share in a property, rather than buying it outright. Many first time buyers and later life buyers use shared ownership to progress their way to full home ownership, as you can increase the shares you own in the property until you own it 100%. This is known as ‘Staircasing’. You can also sell at any time, which provides you with flexibility and choice around how you invest in your future.

Rent to Buy and Affordable Rent provide further routes to achieving your new home.

Cross Keys Homes is providing homes to buy with all housebuilders at Alconbury Weald through shared ownership – where you buy a share of your home (usually between 25% and 75% of its value) and pay a subsidised rental fee on the remaining share. If you choose, you can then buy more shares over time. Find out more and sign up to be the first to hear about shared ownership homes available at www.crosskeyshomes.co.uk

There are also choices with all of the Housebuilders at Alconbury Weald for Affordable Homes for Rent. You can access information on these through registering with Home-Link. Find out more and register: www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/housing/finding-a-home/apply-to-get-on-the-housing-register/

Rentplus has affordable rent to buy apartments to give people living in or working in the area the chance to get on the housing ladder without the need for an upfront deposit. Tenants rent their home for five to 20 years at an affordable rate, whilst using that time to save towards their future mortgage deposit and build a good credit rating. At the end of the agreed term, they can purchase their home and Rentplus will gift them 10% of the purchase price to add to their savings.
