Housebuilder Morris Homes has submitted a planning application for the latest phase of new homes at Alconbury Weald, North of Huntingdon.
The proposed development will consist of 165 executive and family detached, semi-detached and mews style homes, carefully arranged around the high quality infrastructure and landscaping already under way to create distinctive character areas.
Working with the site owner and developer, Urban&Civic, and their architects, the award-winning housebuilder intends to emphasise character areas with high quality and crafted detailing on the new homes, including two storey brick built walk in bays, crafted brick eaves, corbels and parapets, working brick chimneys and sliding sash windows.
Adam Knight, Managing Director of Morris Homes Eastern, said of the proposal: “We are very excited by the potential to work with Urban&Civic on the development at Alconbury Weald, in producing elegant residential properties befitting of an already flourishing area.”
Tim Leathes, Urban&Civic’s Development Director said: “We are really pleased to have Morris Homes coming to the site in addition to Hopkins Homes. The increase of quality new homes being built means we are able to provide even more choice for local people, all with the same access to the wonderful open spaces, community facilities and job opportunities in the Enterprise Campus.”
