Alconbury Weald Tree Nursery: Volunteers wanted

Alconbury Weald Tree Nursery is looking for volunteers to take part in an exciting project to grow and plant trees with seeds collected from local ancient woodland.

Sessions run Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.30–12.30 at Alconbury Weald Tree Nursery.

There are also volunteer opportunities at the Huntingdonshire Community Nursery,Park Lane, Godmanchester

If you want to :

  • Discover and explore ancient woodlands
  • Help develop our new tree nursery site
  • Gain skills in horticulture
  • Learn about native tree species and how to identify them
  • Keep fit doing practical work in the tree nursery
  • Meet people and make new friends

Find out more about how the Tree Nursery was created by a Green Skills project giving local unemployed young people the chance to gain qualifications, work experience and job opportunities.
