The school lies at the heart of the community, and will feature some key facilities, including sports pitches and a performing arts centre. it has been designed to start with four forms of entry, filling up each year as it grows, and the second phase will see this expand to eight forms of entry.

The school’s sixth form will be delivered in time for the first students making their way through the year groups.

Alconbury Weald Church Academy is part of the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT), which will ensure a supportive transition to pupils from Alconbury Weald’s primary school, and DEMAT are passionate about their partnership work with schools across the local area.

Alconbury Weald Church Academy - will sit alongside Prestley Wood Academy (special educational needs and disabilities school) and initially delivers four forms of entry (600 pupils) alongside a sports hall with outdoor playing courts and playing fields. The building has been designed to enable the secondary school to expand to eight forms of entry (1,200 pupils) in response to future demand. The school is currently scheduled to open in September 2027.
