Being part of the Alconbury Weald community is about more than just being on any old business park. The Campus is part of a vibrant developing high quality low carbon community, which includes 5000 homes, health and community facilities and local schools, a gym, cafes, restaurants and shops all set in 700 acres of green space.
Companies coming to the site can be supported by a range of local partners including a skills centre on site which links the site to 3 local colleges; a jobs hub which supports recruitment of local people; a procurement portal to support supply chain and business support services.
Companies can also get involved in on site travel clubs supporting car share schemes and local bike hire. The Campus offers a range of environmental volunteering opportunities in the on-site tree nursery and through links with local community groups and charities. As part of the Alconbury Weald development which covers over 575 hectares, the Campus provides opportunities for healthy walks to explore the unique heritage of this former Cold War reconnaissance centre; cycle routes which will connect the site north to the internationally significant Great Fen Project; bus, bike and walking opportunities to explore the historic market town of Huntingdon.
